We seem to feel that a complex problem needs a complex solution and that is rarely the case. If we are honest with ourselves as well look back in our lives at the problems we have overcome, the answer was always a simple one. The only reason it is not is because we are holding onto the idea of finding and working through a complex answer. Sadly the simple answer is perceived to be the scariest one to act on.
Be unorthodox! The Wizard of Oz has great insight into the power of asking questions, finding answers and where those answers lie. In the end we find out that Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion all had what they desired within themselves the entire time. They were just not aware of it. But once they received a new perspective, they believed in themselves and ended up doing even more amazing things. In the story, the 4 of them take on the Wicked Witch of the West and defeat her. They were ignorant of their potential yet they accomplished what they set out to do. I believe we all do this. We are ignorant of our true powers and potential, yet we seem to survive and obtain some desired results. But what would happen if we tapped into our true potential and believed in ourselves?
“When you are lost, take control of your mind, use your heart, act with courage and you will find 'HOME'.” -Danny Matthews Who Are You?
We can not find our W.A.Y. until we know the answer to this question. I love the wisdom that is found in books like Alice in Wonderland, Dr. Suess, Peter Pan, Shel Silverstein Books, The Prophet, The Alchemist, and others. There are truths found within that are just as powerful or more than any religious script I have ever read In all of the many years of personal experience, studying, listening, applying and neglecting, I have come to realize that our lives, our health, our suffering, our pain, our emotions, our finances, our thought processes and our belief systems have the potential to heal in an instant.
It is always perspective. I do not remember the source of this quote but it says, The mark of an educated person is one who entertains a new idea. That does not mean you HAVE to accept the idea. That does not mean you SHOULD neglect the idea. And it definitely means you HAVE to reject the new idea. Just be open because you never know what we could find at the front, middle or the end of the idea. Here is a perspective I would like to share: In life we are all apprentices and we are learning how to build things. So let's use the example of carpentry. We are trying to build a table. We are using some bolts to attache the legs to the main table top. We take out the hammer and start pounding the nuts onto the bolts. It does not seem to be working. We then take out an adjustable wrench and that seems to work to get the nuts on the bolts. We have no problem accepting the above example as "duh!" But in our own personal lives we keep doing the same things wondering why it never works. We seem to not be open to NEW TOOLS that could solve our problems. And we waste energy condemning the tool that wasn't working instead of looking for the tool that will work. Be open, train your mind to look at things through many perspectives. If you find that the new idea works for you to bring more HAPPINESS, PEACE and ABUNDANCE, adopt it and apply it. If it does not work, set it aside. No need to condemn it. That is wasting energy where it could be used in amplifying the new IDEA that does work for you. WE ALWAYS FIND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR |
